Abstract

The stress-strain state of the elements (welds) of the gas transportation system and the methods of application the hardening techniques by plastic deformation that compensates for the fatigue phenomena in these elements are considered. The procedures of the combined impact of factors (geometric ones, stress concentration, plastic hardening) in these phenomena and their assessment per the corresponding coefficients, which are the ratios of the initial and factor-based endurance limits, are listed. According to the competed fatigue tests, the endurance parameters were determined and regression equations were formulated to assess the variation of each coefficient. A multi-parametric functional relationship of the combined impacting factors was presented, which was used to formulate systems of parametric equations (I, II, III) according to the priority of each of the impacting factors. The graphical peculiarities of the I equations system were considered, which is the assessment system of the hardening techniques and its mathematical model.
