Abstract

The article presents the structure of economic losses resulting from the imperfection of road traffic organization. The value of time lost by vehicles within settlements and on their approaches has been studied. Based on the time vehicles spend delayed on the road, the economic costs (losses) related to passengers’ travel time have been determined. The direct (immediate) economic losses and indirect costs caused by road traffic accidents occurring within settlements and on their approaches have been identified separately.
