The Importance of the Public Participation Component in Reducing Losses in Water Supply Facilities

The most important pool of actions to improve the efficiency of the water supply facilities framework, as well as for the correct analysis and evaluation of the results obtained, is the assessment of water losses, the classification and conversion of the latter into numerical values. The article touches on the problems related to supply-and-demand issues within the water supply system of the Republic of Armenia, as well as matters related to public participation and changing the mentality of the population in this context, as well as the aspect of the “State-Water Supply” and “Subscriber-Water Supply” interrelations.
