The purpose of the study is to study the effects of using a regenerative heat exchanger in a single-stage refrigeration cycle. By means of calculations, the influence of overheating and undercooling on refrigeration capacity was studied, and tables were obtained expressing the influence of overheating and undercooling depending on the evaporation and condensation temperatures. Research allows us to effectively evaluate the role of the heat exchanger in refrigeration units. The use of a regenerative heat exchanger for various refrigerants was also considered; the tables show changes in parameters for assessing the efficiency of refrigeration machines. The article also presents the positive and negative consequences of using a regenerative heat exchanger.
